Finally, The S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla Resurgence Figure Is Coming

So many people have been down on the design of Godzilla in the new Toho Pictures movie 'Godzilla Resurgence,' and absolutely no one has even seen the film yet. Personally, I've been incredibly excited about seeing why Godzilla looks this way; whether it's a literal call-back to his origin as a radioactive giant dinosaur, or just an eccentric take on the icon, I don't care. I'm just excited to see him come alive in a modern Japanese film. That said, having him come alive in my living room would be almost just as awesome, and S.H. MonsterArts is wasting no time in making that a reality. Check out some info on the figure, a promotional video, and a ton of pictures after the jump.

From the press release:

Tamashii Nations has posted up official photos and some info for their upcoming S.H. Monsterarts Godzilla Resurgence – Shin Godzilla Figure. Godzilla Resurgence is the newest in the long line of Godzilla films from Toho. It sees the return of the King of Monsters with an all new creature design. Toho is treating the film as a complete reboot of the Japanese Godzilla franchise. It will have no connection to previous Godzilla movies. The film is set to debut in Japan on July 29, 2016.
The Shin Godzilla figure measures about 40CM (15.75 inches) from head-to-tail and will stand at 18CM (7″) tall. It features the full range of articulation that fans have come to expect from the S.H. Monsterarts line. It is due for release this November. It will be priced at 12,960 Yen (about $126 USD). No word on the official pre-order dates at this time.

X-Plus Reveals Absolutely Gigantic Large Monster Series Legion

X-Plus has been showing off a basic maquette for awhile now, but today they've finally revealed their "Large Monster Series Legion" vinyl figure. This is based off the design in the incredibly important Heisei Gamera trilogy (specifically Gamera 2: Attack of Legion), and is the largest and most detailed figure of the monster to date. There are two different versions coming out towards the end of the summer, and where you buy it from will determine if yours will have added lighting and effects, according to the guys over at Kaiju Addicts. See the specs and a collection of pictures below.
