Cameron's pro-strats for monster fighting

City Shrouded in Shadow is slated for release very soon, and it seems poised to send us scurrying through a ruined Japan like so many frightened cockroaches before titanic terrors and gargantuan….big things. If there’s one thing 27 years worth of video games has taught me, it’s that no boss is unbeatable, not even the unbeatable ones!

City Shrouded in Shadow is slated for release very soon, and it seems poised to send us scurrying through a ruined Japan like so many frightened cockroaches before titanic terrors and gargantuan….big….things.

Yeah, things like that.

But these dudes and dudettes aren't invincible invaders, they're clearly bosses. And if there’s one thing 27 years worth of video games has taught me, it’s that no boss is unbeatable, not even the unbeatable ones!

Remember us?

“But cameron!” you say, “How can we beat Godzilla? He’s not Kong, we can’t just shoot him a bunch.” Well, quit yer belly-achin’, because, like always, I have the perfect solution.

Over my long illustrious career of boss-fighting, I’ve honed four immortal techniques that can flatten even the most fearsome mutated and/or genetically engineered critter. So gather ‘round and I’ll show you how to Batman this Justice League.

That's him. That's Batman.

Technique the first!

The Loki

The thing most of these big baddies have on us is size (and lasers). The one thing we have on them is our size. I give you…

Big stupid idiot

...the tried and true method of tricking the boss into slamming his own head into a wall! This method is tricky, and requires precise timing. It usually involves baiting your adversary into committing to an attack, then dodging out of the way, causing the enemy to beat the eff out of themselves by slamming into some kind of environmental hazard. Kind of like the Kraken in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, who you have to trick into bashing his brain box into pillars, or the Barroth in the Monster Hunter games, who runs his big, dumb face into walls if you can dodge out of the way in time.

Technique the second!

The Trap

This one is sometimes a variation of the Loki, but not always. This one use the environment, and sometimes means using yourself as bait, but rather than relying on momentum to push the monster into something hard and hurty, the Trap lures the baddy into a prepared hazard. Sometimes this hurts the monster directly, sometimes it just exposes their big glowing weak spot. Like Gordon Freeman luring the Gargantua into a generator and flicking the switch to pump it full of juice in Half Life, or the Stone Golem fight (which also uses lightning) in the first Witcher game.

RIght this way.

Technique the third!

The Coup de Grace

Where the last two we’re all about positioning, this one takes a little more initiative. It’s common knowledge that anything over eight feet tall has, somewhere on its body, a glowing weak point.

I wonder where my bullets go...)

The coup de grace involves laying into this weak point with one big, big strike, for big, big damage. Usually it’s in plain view, like Poison Ivy’s big Biollante knock off from Arkham Asylum. Its invincible, until Ivy herself pops out to laugh at you and you throw a baterang at her head.

Sometimes, its hidden behind inexplicably thin armor, i.e. the ice monster from Metroid Prime. It’s glowy bits are hidden under ice, but you have rockets, so that doesn’t matter.

ChIlL OuT!!!1

Technique the fourth!

The Flea

This! This is my favorite! I can’t believe no one’s tried this on Goji, it’s so simple and elegant. Step one! Hop on the beast, preferably on some conveniently placed stair-shaped wreckage. Step two! Climb the beast using its hair/craggy skin, making your way to its glowing weak point. Step Three! Stab. With gusto. The only problem with this move is the dismount.

I had examples of all my other techniques but...I dunno I can’t really….recall….

There was….what was that one game…

Its right on the tip of my tongue…

Oh well.

Of course if all these fail due to physical limitations or you know, the core gameplay, you can use my second favorite technique: Bail And Let Ultraman Take Care Of It.

Love ‘em? Hate ‘em? Gonna try and port the Master Sword into the game? Let me know in the comments, brave hunters.

'Pacific Rim: Uprising' - Plot Synopsis and First Look at New Kaiju!

Well looks like we are gearing up for a great New York Comic Con! Ahead of the official trailer release on friday at the Con, Legendary has started up the viral marketing machine and also given us a great plot breakdown.  Check it out!

Well looks like we are gearing up for a great New York Comic Con! Ahead of the official trailer release on friday at the Con, Legendary has started up the viral marketing machine and also given us a great plot synopsis. Check it out!

First up let's talk about the plot breakdown! So it turns out they decided to confirm a returning character and also give us a better idea of John Boyega's character. This is the type of synopsis you would see on imdb page so don't worry about spoilers.

The globe-spanning conflict between otherworldly monsters of mass destruction and the human-piloted super-machines built to vanquish them was only a prelude to the all-out assault on humanity in Pacific Rim Uprising.

John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) stars as the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity’s victory against the monstrous “Kaiju.” Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld. But when an even more unstoppable threat is unleashed to tear through our cities and bring the world to its knees, he is given one last chance to live up to his father’s legacy by his estranged sister, Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi)—who is leading a brave new generation of pilots that have grown up in the shadow of war. As they seek justice for the fallen, their only hope is to unite together in a global uprising against the forces of extinction.

Jake is joined by gifted rival pilot Lambert (The Fate of the Furious’ Scott Eastwood) and 15-year-old Jaeger hacker Amara (newcomer Cailee Spaeny), as the heroes of the PPDC become the only family he has left. Rising up to become the most powerful defense force to ever walk the earth, they will set course for a spectacular all-new adventure on a towering scale.

Pacific Rim Uprising is directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Netflix’s Daredevil, STARZ’s Spartacus) and also stars Jing Tian, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona and Charlie Day.

Mako's back!! Also they really seem to be building up the new Kaiju to be huge and "unstoppable." Speaking of Kaiju...

The viral marketing site gojaeger.com updated earlier today with a keypad asking for a passcode. Intrepid investigators on the web figured out that if you type in the numbers 65*789 it will make sounds that line up with the main theme song of the original film. The locked page reveals itself to be a countdown to the release of the trailer on friday but there are three surprises hidden in the countdown if you wait long enough. Brief glitchy pictures of Kaiju come through and oh boy are they cool!

Some sort of Kaiju with manadbles

Perfect Chaos from Sonic Adventure is that you?

Getting some Godzilla-ish vibes from this last one

Also we talked about the posters on the cast but I realized that we never actually posted them for all of you to see (in case you missed them).

What do you guys think about all of this? Look forward to us talking about the new trailer as soon as it available on friday afternoon!

Tokyo Destroyed?!?! - Episode 29 Delayed And Changed!

Hello everyone! Today I bring some sad news, as it seems an unruly Mothra larva chewed on our audio cables and ruined the recently recorded episode of Tokyo Lives. Godzilla seems to be wrangling the insect but that means we are gonna have to change some things around.

Hello everyone! Today I bring some sad news, as it seems an unruly Mothra larva chewed on our audio cables and ruined the recently recorded episode of Tokyo Lives. Godzilla seems to be wrangling the insect but that means we are gonna have to change some things around.

He's trying his best!

We have figured out the technical issues that plagued our recording and instead of trying to retread the episode we just recorded we are going to push forward and just record the next episode of Tokyo Lives this week! Time for us to talk about 'Gamera 2: Attack of Legion'!

Sorry that we are changing things up like this but we really don't want to try to recapture the magic of that first recording and give you guys a subpar episode. Look forward to us talking about Godzilla and Mothra at a later date but for now it's time to check in on that crazy terrapin kaiju we all love. See you early next week!

Kaiju Incoming Contest!

Help! The Tokyo Lives office is practically overrun with Kaiju and I need your help identifying them all so we can deal with them!

Hello fellow Kaijuologists! It’s me, your favorite internet best friend, Rob.

I need to ask you all a favor. See, it looks like the Tokyo Lives office is practically overrun with Kaiju and I need your help identifying them all so we can deal with them.

Here’s how this is going to play out. Starting this October I’m going to post a silhouette of one of the rampaging Kaiju on our Twitter page every Monday. The following Friday we will remove the silhouette and find out which brave kaijuologists were correct.

To show our appreciation for the help, the kaijuologists who correctly identify these kaiju will get a private message on Twitter to vote on one of three films for us to review during our upcoming FAN MONTH!!! (And, of course, a personal thanks from me on the cast)

What's Fan Month you ask? Well, we will be letting you all decide one of the movies we will be covering coming up in January! The other film will be decided on by our beloved patrons over at Our Patreon!

Oh man it's super early in the morning for us here in Texas but there is no rest for us G-fans. After an apparance on a morning show Toho decided to grace us with a full trailer for the new Godzilla Anime. Check it out below!

Man there is a ton of new footage to dissect in this trailer! Lot's of cool shots of the new Godzilla design in motion. I'm still not 100% sold on the movement of the characters and Goji's design in general but these are definitely still small complaints that may change when watching the film as a whole. We also got a new poster!

I really like the earthy colors Godzilla has in the back. It makes him look like a literal walking mountain which fits the plot description we got a while back.

What do you guys think of the trailer?

Kyle's Top 3 and Bottom 3 Godzilla Designs REDUX

Time for another Top 3 Bottom 3! My lovely castmates all put up their top 3 and bottom 3 designs articles last month and I've been itching to update my thoughts since I last revealed them way back in Episode 11. Some of my choices have changed and some have stayed the same but regardless let's get going!

Time for another Top 3 Bottom 3! My lovely castmates all put up their top 3 and bottom 3 designs articles last month and I've been itching to update my thoughts since I last revealed them way back in Episode 11. Some of my choices have changed and some have stayed the same but regardless let's get going!

Bottom 3

#3. Shin Goji (all forms)

If you listened to the episode of the podcast, you probably heard the huge argument that occurred between me and my ex co-host Coleman about his inclusion of this design in his top 3 because the film had not released yet. Well now the movie is out and I feel like I can judge everything about this design in all of it's forms. So here's the thing, there are parts of this design that I like. I enjoy the red coming through his stretched skin and from his spine. I also like the way the purple light of his energy seep through the cracks in said skin. But unfortunately everything else about this design make me hate it. The mushed up face, huge thighs, tiny eyes, tiny arms, excessively long tail, and weird look to his feet all add together to make a unsatisfying design in my eyes. I understand that Anno was trying to go for a creepy feeling with the design but it all feels like it's trying too hard. There really isn't much to say about the 4th form design that hasn't been said by some of the community but I will openly admit that it looks best when it is in motion and acting like Godzilla. Unfortunately we are relegated to fan art and alternate sources like the Universal Studios 4D ride to see the design in motion acting like a traditional Godzilla. In the film...well to quote the movie itself "he just walks" most of the time and only has moments of sentience towards the end and during the beam sequence in Tokyo. If you'll look back at the top you'll notice that I actually included all 3 of the visible designs so let me take a moment to speak on the other 2.

The second form aka Kamata-kun is the least Godzilla that he has ever looked. He has huge dead fish eyes, flops around on the ground, spews red liquid (blood?) out of his gills, and once again "he just walks." I understand why fans have take a liking to him but to me he looks like a plucked turkey.

Now third form on the other hand is the least offensive of the three. His body proportions look weird as heck to me but I can excuse this by really treating tis form as a baby Godzilla instead of an adult (since Shin is evolving or morphing technically all of the forms are adults). I know opening an article with me ranting about Shin is almost fan suicide in some circles but just like the other choices these are all just my opinion.

#2 Gyakushu Goji

These next two haven't changed from the podcast episode and are fan favorites to hate on (for good reason). Oh how far you have fallen Godzilla! This design is flawed in many small ways that all add up to being a larger problem. In order to allow Nakajima to move more freely when he was fighting the other monster they slimmed down the suit. This actually gives him an interesting silhouette but unfortunately the other pieces of the design don't make him very cool or interesting. His row of spines look impressive from behind but man are they misshapen and not in a good way.

His face has lost a lot of character and it looks really smushed (like pancake smushed). The extended neck also gives him a weird bobble head look most of the time.

#1 Musuko Goji

Look I don't know who had the bright idea to model the suit after Minya's design instead of the other way around but they must not have been the sharpest tools in the shed if you know what I mean.

The Godzilla's from this early era had a big problem with "derp" faces as I call them and this suit is one of the worst when it comes to that. His spines are also atrociously designed with there really only being four large spins and the rest are almost non-existent (Not to mention their weird melted shape).  It looks like he's wearing super baggy suspenders at all times. Basically what I'm trying to say is that nothing looks good about this design.

Top 3

#3 Mosu Goji

My top 3 has definitely changed the most since the podcast episode. This is definitely a fan favorite and it probably would have been my honorable mention when we recorded if we had done them. The proportions of this suit are fantastic! His spines are the correct shapes and sizes and they grow and shrink in size uniformly down his back all the way down to his tail. His face is probably the best thing about this design with his scary heavy eyebrows giving him a threatening appearance.

Funny enough the quivering lips that he has are actually from an accident with the suit but in actuality they give him a lot of character and expression that we really don't get from the Godzilla designs until we get to the Heisei series. They fixed this in the next film and I really think it took away from the design overall.

#2 Legendary Goji

You know sometimes I wonder why I bring the hate train down onto myself. Including Shin in my bottom three and Legendary in my top three? Is this madness!? Actually no. I am a huge fan of this design for multiple reasons but let's start it off with a little history lesson. During the preproduction of 'Godzilla (2014)', Gareth Edwards talked a lot about making this design represent the real creature that the Toho execs saw and then they used what they remembered to make the Shodai Goji suit. I think they met that idea head on and gave one of the best overall Godzilla designs out there.

Not only does this design look great in motion but it looks great when drawn as well. The silhouette is the definition of Godzilla himself and you would never be able to mistake the creature for anything else. I love that his spines look like broken off pieces of obsidian or slate rocks and the way they light up when he uses his breath is a sight to behold. The aligator texture of his skin is something I am just a fan of in general (the V-rexes from 'King Kong [2005]' are another great example) and his general posture resembles a big grizzly bear. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the feet as I feel like they need just a little bit more toe on them.

#1 Bio Goji

This is it everybody! This is the Godzilla design my brain instantly pictures when I hear the name Godzilla or Gojira. It's hard to explain what I like about this design because I love everything about it.

He has great center body definition, his body flows into the other parts like a natural creature, his head has a harsh angular look to it, he has the fangs still but instead of normal teeth they gave him a second row behind the normal row. He really has this almost trangular structure to his form but his thunder thighs aren't nearly as bad as they get in the later heisei. This is one of the few Godzillas that you can see some level of intelligence behind his eyes and you can tell that he is a thinking creature.

I will say that I prefer the Bio Goji suit in Biollante to the slightly changed suit in 'Godzilla Vs King Ghidorah' aka Ghido Goji. There is something they changed with his his head that just looks odd to me. The suit also seems to have a sag to it in Ghidorah that it doesn't have in Biollante. Regardless this suit is my all time favorite design ever used in the Godzilla franchise.

Honorable/Dishonorable Mentions

Dishonorable Mention - Kiryu Goji

This design was in bottom 3 but got pushed out by me including Shin Goji as a pickable design. Look this suit looks great in still shots but man does it look awkward when it's moving. Also it looks very stiff and sculpted which I don't like at all. His spines are kinda cool though.

Honorable Mention - Sokogeki Goji

I love this design but with some recent rewatches of some other films this moved down to #4 on my list. I really love the whited out eyes and just the general evil look to this Godzilla. The potbelly he has is endearing in some spots but distracting in others.

Well I hpe you guys enjoyed my list! Below are links to my other co-hosts choices and oyu should all go check them out!

Hello everyone! San Diego Comic-Con 2017 got started yesterday and while we haven't gotten our big Hall H panel which may reveal some Monsterverse goodies (keep an eye on the site on Saturday) we have been given quite a few cool Giant Monster things from the show floor and beyond. This includes several toy/collectible announcements, a "Kong: Skull Island experience", and of course a bunch of Pacific Rim: Uprising details including a short teaser trailer.

'Pacific Rim: Uprising' Teaser Trailer and Viral Site launched!

It was announced via the director's twitter account a couple days ago that we would not be getting a full trailer for 'Pacific Rim: Uprising' at Comic-Con due to the film not being in a state that it is ready to show off footage but what he didn't say is that we would be getting a lot of new info. First gift we received is a recruitment style video for the Jaeger program that shows off some of the new Jaegers and our first footage of John Boyega as Pentecost's son Jake.

The viral marketing site gojaeger.com was launched alongside the trailer and it includes some intriguing details on all of the new Jaegers. Check each of them out below.

GIPSY AVENGER

Gipsy Avenger honors the heroic legacy of her namesake as the flagship leader of the Mark VI fleet. More than just a Jaeger, she is a symbol of hope to millions.
BRACER PHOENIX

A Mark V brute that can still run with the VI’s, Bracer Phoenix shoots from the chest, with a centrifugal vortex cannon that is as spectacular as it is deadly.

SABER ATHENA

The sleekest and most elegant Jaeger ever created, Saber Athena is the fastest in the fleet, wielding twin blades in hyper-acrobatic combat.

TITAN REDEEMER

Built for brute force and armed with a seismic morningstar, Titan Redeemer is the walking wrecking ball of the new fleet.

GUARDIAN BRAVO

Designed for combat at range, Guardian Bravo wields the Elec-16 Arc Whip: a proto-metallic successor to the chainsword, and brings a new sophistication to the chainsword’s whiplash move.

'Kong: Skull Island' Experience

There is a really interesting walk through experience happening with Kong at the convention as well. Now there aren't many details about this as of yet but it does seem like it is similar to the Godzilla experience back at 2013's Comic-Con (maybe not on the same scale but still). No footage of this exists as of yet but it looks like Legendary has hidden Monarch crates and stuff within the experience and if enough photos get uploaded a "classified" photo will be released to the public. Now this photo could be anything from hints to Godzilla 2 or just some nifty Skull Island goodies but it is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

'Godzilla Vs Kong' Director Talks!

Fan Poster

Adam Wingard, the director of Godzilla Vs Kong, gave a few details about the upcoming film in a couple of recent interviews for Death Note. IGN and Birth Movies Death have the scoops, but here are some notable quotes:

"It's been a pleasure already in the first stages of it, having an excuse to go back and watch 30 Godzilla movies and justifying it to yourself. For me, it's about taking the series to the next level."

When asked about the similarities in the way both the monster films as well as Death Note deal in shades of grey, Wingard continued, "I think they're very similar in a lot of ways. It's easy to demonize Godzilla on one hand, but I have a lot of emotional attachment to both monsters." In regards to the size difference between the two beasts, Wingard added, "They gave us a good out in Kong when they mentioned that Kong is still growing, but that'll be a challenge we have to deal with, and we're very aware of that issue." - IGN

“It’s funny—the day I had my first meeting scheduled with Terry Rossio, the writer on Godzilla vs. Kong, was the day it was announced that Lord and Miller got fired, so that was kind of an eye-opening moment,” Wingard says. “I mean, you hear—especially within the industry—a lot of rumors about directors who have silently been replaced, or the movies have been reshot by other directors because the producers were unhappy with them, and things like that. But firing them was a completely different situation.

“Ultimately, I don’t think it affects me that much,” he continues. “The most important thing when you’re making this type of film is that it’s not about pushing against authority; it’s about everybody getting on the same page. When you’re doing anything that involves a lot of money, it should not be an ‘us vs. them’ kind of thing, and as soon as you start treating it that way, it becomes that way. But as long as you’re open to ideas when they come—and sometimes they’re good and sometimes you have to push back—it’s just about being able to communicate.”

On Death Note, which had many producers and a lot of oversight on it, I felt like I was 100 percent able to make the movie I wanted to make,” he states. “The reason for that was because I was able to communicate with everybody involved, and we were all making the same film, you know? That’s the most important factor.”

He also sheds some light on the Godzilla vs. Kong scripting process, which involved a “writers’ room” consisting of Patrick McKay, J.D. Payne, Lindsey Beer, Cat Vasko, T.S. Nowlin, Jack Paglen and J. Michael Straczynski. “Terry ran the writers’ room,” Wingard explains, “so he’s the personification of it, and everything we’re working on is first and foremost based on the outline they created there. We’re going in very great detail through all the characters, the arcs they have, how they relate to one another, and most importantly how they relate to the monsters, and how the monsters relate to them or reflect them. We’re also going beat by beat on the outline, because I have things that I want to add.

“So once again, it’s a discussion, and about feeling out how to make it as strong as possible, so that when Terry goes to write the screenplay, he has a definitive breakdown of what to include. He’s not the type of guy who wants to be handed a bunch of problems to solve, you know? He wants to be able to have a good creative flow based on an outline that works.” - BirthMoviesDeath

'Godzilla: Monster Planet' Teaser Trailer Released!

Man what a great day to wake up to the highly anticipated teaser trailer for the Godzilla Anime! I knew we were getting one soon-ish but I never expected that it would come out of nowhere like this. Well what are you waiting for? Check it out below!

Man what a great day to wake up to the highly anticipated teaser trailer for the Godzilla Anime! I knew we were getting one soon-ish but I never expected that it would come out of nowhere like this. Well what are you waiting for? Check it out below!

Wow! So I am not a huge fan of the fully CG anime style but it looks like the animation will look great when dealing with the monsters and such. Maybe it will be a bit jittery when it comes down to the human stuff but what see here in this 30 second teaser shows some promise. Also there is this guy:

Who also has a name!

Servum looks like he is going to be the smaller Kaiju that our space faring humans are going to deal with. He's pretty much just a wyvern but he does have multiple eyes which may suggest an alien origin.

UPDATE 8:53 am - Looks like Servum is actually a subspecies of Godzilla himself! Check out the official press release!

World first! Breaking news! Godzilla himself finally revealed!
A roar that shakes the Earth still, 20,000 years in the future!
2016 saw the release of the no. 1 box office smash hit live action film, Shin Godzilla (directed by Hideaki Anno). This grounded portrayal captured the hearts of audiences, and has been honored with seven prizes at the 40th Japan Academy Awards, including Picture of the Year.
The next step in the Godzilla franchise will be the release this November of Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters. This landmark year in which Japan celebrates the 100th anniversary of the release of its first animated film will also finally herald the first time in history that the challenge has been undertaken to adapt Godzilla into an animated feature.

An advance teaser trailer is now available on the web, ahead of being also shown in cinemas starting from Saturday, July 8.
Starting with the words "1 year on from Shin Godzilla..", the trailer shows the protagonist, Haruo (Mamoru Miyano), as he gazes down intensely at the beautiful blue Earth below from the returned emigration ship, a number of landing craft descending toward the surface itself, crew members preparing themselves for battle, as well as what seems to be a flashback to a fierce fight between armed humans and a previously unknown monster—the Servum, which has now proliferated over the surface of the planet.
Then, in the final shot, what appears to be the colossal form of Godzilla himself, with his signature roar! In the face of this fearsome presence, to which the response can only rightly be "despair", can humanity truly prevail?

Watch it here: https://youtu.be/1dF83zsTIMQ

Bestiary
Servum
A sub-species of Godzilla discovered by the Earth landing party, given the name "Servum".
Cellular analysis shows a 97% similarity to Godzilla, when compared to data collected during a nuclear attack on that beast in 2032, before the escape from Earth.
Like Godzilla, it has extremely metal-like body tissue, but despite this can generate a strong electromagnetic charge.
Two varieties of Servum have been observed, the flying type, and another worm-like kind which burrows in the ground. The flying type prey on the worm type, and the worm type preys on further smaller types, creating a food chain.

Introduction
Ever since it was first released as a feature film in 1954, Godzilla has come to be a colossal cultural icon loved by millions around the world. 2016 saw the release of Shin Godzilla, directed by Hideaki Anno. This grounded depiction of the iconic monster story captured audiences and became a huge hit. Now in 2017, Godzilla continues to surprise with this evolution into a feature-length animated film.
This animated movie takes the franchise into uncharted territory; mankind's fateful confrontation to retake their planet in a distant future where Godzilla has dominated the Earth for 20,000 years.
Directing is Kobun Shizuno, whose theatrical release of Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare last year achieved the highest box office success yet for that famed franchise. He is joined by another proven talent on the cutting edge of computer graphics, Hiroyuki Seshita, director and supervising director of Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine and Ajin:Demi-Human. Penning both the story and screenplay is Gen Urobuchi of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Psycho-Pass, a writer known to his large and loyal fan base as a master of meticulous and unpredictable storytelling laced with powerful ideas. Finally, handling the production is 3-consecutive Emmy award winning Japanese 3DCG animation studio, Polygon Pictures, which produced Knights of Sidonia, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars for U.S. television and earning Outstanding Special Class Animated Program at the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Prepare for the earth-shattering roar of a brand new Godzilla, unlike anything heard or seen before!

Story
The final summer of the 20th century… when mankind learns it is no longer the sole ruler of planet Earth.
The planet is beset by the emergence of colossal creatures that roam the Earth, and king among them is "Godzilla". For a half a century, these beasts engage in ferocious battle with each other and mankind. Ultimately humanity, unable to compete, prepares for exile from its home planet. In the year 2048, a select few humans are chosen by the central government's artificial intelligence to set out on an interstellar emigration vessel, the Aratrum, on an 11.9-light-year journey for the planet Tau Ceti e. But when they arrive after 20 years of space travel, the remnants of mankind find the environmental conditions on Tau-e to be much worse than expected, and uninhabitable by humans.
On board the vessel is a young man, Haruo. When he was four years old, he saw his parents killed by Godzilla before his eyes, and in the 20 years since he has thought about nothing but returning to Earth and defeating Godzilla. With their chance for escape to another world closed, and living conditions on the ship deteriorating, Haruo spearheads a movement to return to Earth despite the dangers of such a long return trip.
Somehow, the Aratrum makes the return journey in one piece, but the home they return to has become an alien planet. 20,000 years have elapsed, and a new ecosystem has emerged with Godzilla at its apex. Can mankind take back its native planet? Will Haruo get his revenge?

Well are you excited? I know I am!
